MedTRAC at Hospital Cruz Vermelha

BIQ Health Solutions has initiated the implementation of the MedTRAC and PharmaTRAC solutions at Hospital Cruz Vermelha in Lisbon (HCVP).

To address the hospital’s stock reorganization and logistical operations needs, MedTRAC will provide real-time, end-to-end visibility of hospital inventory across all storage areas, along with its associated logistical workflows. Utilizing Android mobile terminals, HCVP will easily receive, transfer, restock, and consume products by simply scanning product barcodes.

With the adoption of the PharmaTRAC system—which complements the logistical process—closed-loop verification between medications and patients will be established. This ensures full traceability and safety by scanning the barcodes on patient wristbands and the medication to be administered.

Together, these integrated solutions enable the full paperless digitization of the medication circuit, allowing nursing staff to focus their full attention on what matters most: providing care to patients.
