MAPP at Hospital de Braga

Under the project “HB.SAFE – Promoting Integration, Interoperability, and Clinical Safety”, implemented since 2020 and co-funded by the Administrative Modernization and Capacity Building Support Scheme (SAMA 2020), Hospital de Braga, E.P.E. developed a set of modernization and digital transformation initiatives aimed at standardizing the institution’s information systems and driving continuous improvement for patients and healthcare professionals.

The deployment of the MAPP solution by BIQ Health Solutions—which encompasses medication, blood collection, transfusion, and human milk workflows—significantly reduces clinical error and enhances patient safety across all stages of care.

As stated by João Porfírio, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Hospital de Braga: “This digital modernization project has enabled significant advances in the efficiency and quality of healthcare delivery across the organization, paired with enhanced security in accessing information systems.”
