Go-Live of MAPP – PharmaTRAC Solution at Local Health Unit of Matosinhos (ULSM)

In December 2023, we closed the year with the go-live of our MAPP – PharmaTRAC solution at the Matosinhos Local Health Unit (ULSM).

BIQ HS was selected as the partner of choice to support ULSM in this project, which aims to deploy mobility solutions and operational dashboards to increase healthcare delivery efficiency and patient safety within the medication workflow.

With the adoption of the PharmaTRAC system, closed-loop verification between medications and patients will be established, ensuring full traceability and safety by scanning the barcodes on patient wristbands and the medication to be administered.

In 2023, ULSM had already implemented the BTRAC system, designed to ensure end-to-end traceability, safety, positive patient identification, and monitoring of blood component administration in full compliance with applicable legal requirements, guidelines, and best practices.

Together, these integrated solutions enable the full paperless digitization of clinical workflows, driving mobility while guaranteeing quality and safety—allowing nurses to focus their full attention on what matters most: providing care to patients.
