Btrac® solution at Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos.

BIQ Health Solutions implements the Btrac® solution at Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos.

Btrac® uses a handheld device to scan patient wristbands to identify them not only during sample collection but also throughout the transfusion process, making sure that the right blood components are given to the right patients at the right time.

During an initial phase, 16 transfusion points and 8 admission points are covered. Later this coverage will be extended to the rest of the ULS Matosinhos.
